Government Funded Childcare – NEW for 2024 and 2025

There are exciting changes in the early years childcare sector in both 2024 and 2025 that will be a great benefit to families and a positive step towards our children’s futures.

To submit your funding code for either 15 hours or 30 hours click below.

What We Offer

We offer two funded packages at Nursery Rhymes, these are our Gold Package which includes a “care package” weekly charge to cover the above items and more. Our Silver Package is available for anyone not wanting to benefit from meals or any of the other additional services that the funding does not cover.

From April 2024, all eligible working parents of 2-year-olds can access 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year, which is 570 hours per year.

From September 2024, all eligible working parents of children aged 9 months up to 3-years-old can access 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year, which is 570 hours per year.

From September 2025, all eligible working parents of children aged 9 months up to 3-years-old can access 30 hours free childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year, which is a further 570 hours, totalling 1140 hours per year.

Some 3-4 year olds will also be entitled to an additional 15 hours funding per week, making a total of 30 hours a week.

The government provide this based on term time only over 38 weeks of the year, so in total up to 1140 funded hours per annum.

We offer both the Funded 15 hours and Funded 30 hours on a “stretched basis” over 51 weeks, therefore giving families access to funded hours spread equally throughout the year and invoiced at the same amount each month.

On a “stretched basis” the Universal 15 hours will be given as 11 hours per week on our stretched funding over 51 weeks.

For children entitled to the Funded 30 hours this will be given as 22 hours per week on our stretched funding over 51 weeks.

Our Meal Times

Meal times are a very important part of a child’s development…

Breakfast, fruit, hot lunch and tea will be freshly prepared by our in house chef in our recently built state of the art commercial kitchen.
Allergy controlled meals and children with dietary needs are all catered for.

For babies who are bottle fed parents/carers will need to provide their feeds for the day.  Children will be encouraged to try everything on the menu and to be well-behaved and polite at the table.  The weekly menu will be available on the nursery notice board.

The children have access to cereals for breakfast and we provide fruit and milk between breakfast and lunch. The babies have their own menu which contains lots of different nutritious items that our babies enjoy.

Due to our strict allergy control, we can not allow parents or children to bring their own food onto the premises.

Our head chef has worked at some of the best restaurants in the UK such as 3 Michelin star Fat Duck and Hambleton Hall.

Please ask to view our current weekly menus when visiting, an example menu can be seen below.
